Within hours of being plucked, this whole leaf organic green tea is gently steamed and then rolled into small tight pearls. When steeped, the leaves unfurl, releasing a well-rounded, full-bodied flavor.
As a Chinese Emperor once did, bring fresh water to a boil, cool slightly, then allow leaves to gently fall into your cup. Steep 2-3 minutes. For iced tea, steep 2 tea bags, cool and pour over ice.
Our organic green tea is harvested by the Tuija people of Enshi, china. Since becoming Fair Trade in 2006, they have built new roads and a hospital, whole their wages have increased.
Green Tea Salmon
- 1 lb. salmon fillet (cut into small strips)
- 2 tbsp. soy sauce
- 4 tbsp. sherry
- 2 tea bags Gunpowder Green
- 1/2 cup wateri
- 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
- 3 tbsp. sesame seeds
Blend soy sauce and sherry mixture in frying pan and place salmon pieces in for 10 minutes to marinate. Simmer over moderate heat until sauce is absorbed. Steep tea bags in mug for 5 minutes. Squeeze and remove tea bags. Stir in cornstarch. Pour tea mixture over salmon and cook another 5 minutes or until sauce slightly thickens. Roast sesame seeds in dry frying pan over low heat until seeds begin to jump. Mix seeds into salmon and sauce. In Good Health!
