This delicious and healthy tea balances the deep earthy taste of black Pu∙erh tea with the peppery, spicy notes of ginger. A hearty and warming tea filled with healthful benefits.
Bring fresh water to a boil. Slowly pour over a bag of Ginger Pu•erh. Steep 4-5 minutes as health and vitality draw you in. For iced tea, steep 2 tea bags, cool and pour over ice.
These old-growth rare pu-erh trees are communally owned by the local villagers who pick them for their livelihood. This ensures that the people continue to thrive for generations to come.
Spicy Ginger Pu•erh Iced Tea
Preparation Time: 2 1/2 hours.
Makes 1 pitcher.
- Ginger Pu•erh Simple Syrup
- 1 cup water
- 4 tea bags Ginger Pu•erh
- 1 cup sugar
- Ginger Pu•erh Iced Tea
- 6-8 tea bags of Ginger Pu•erh
- 4 cups water
- 3 tbsp. chopped jalapeño
- 1 1/2 cups lemonade
- 4 tbsp. Ginger Pu•erh Simple Syrup
Simple Syrup: Bring 1 cup of water to a boil in a small saucepan; remove from heat. Steep 4 tea bags in water for 5 minutes. Add saucepan back to heat and bring water to a low boil. Slowly add in 1 cup sugar, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved. Let cool.
Iced Tea: Bring 4 cups of water to a boil and pour over 6-8 tea bags; steep 5 minutes; let cool. In a pint glass, muddle jalapeños; add Ginger Pu•erh simple syrup and muddle again. Mix enough cooled tea in with muddled mixture to fill pint glass; mix well, pouring mixture from one pint glass to another. Using a strainer to catch the jalapeños, pour pint glass liquid over a pitcher. Add remaining cooled tea and lemonade. Fill with ice. In Good Health!
